Race 2 -9/16/04 1000 Race Course 6 - 6.72nm The wind out of the NW at 5-10 knots (perfect sailing conditions) saw the fleet off to the first race of the day.  Unfortunately the race was not without its drama, Thunder's mast came down due to forestay failure just a hundred yard from the finish line.
	Race 3 -9/16/04 1330 Race Course 6 - 6.72nm With the wind building from 10 to 18 knots and shifting from NW to NNW during the race many of the boats and crews were tested in the second race.  Fortunately, no further damage to the fleet was reported from this race even with most of the fleet carrying too much sail for the conditions at the finish.  Overall, it was a fantastic day to be sailing!!!

Observations on the race results:
Note that the difference between first and second in the first race is only 3 seconds real time, which is less than can normally be accurately judged by a boat keeping her own finish time.
