Race 1 -1/08/04 1000 Race Course 5 - 6.05nm Only three boats were up for the opening race for the Spring season with a gloomy, overcast day that threatened to rain all day yet never delivered a drop. The newest addition to our fleet, Jupiter, made its first racing appearance looking sleek and ready for battle with a new set of sails. The wind which was 8 knots out of the North 15 minute before the start swung around to the East just as the race started and continue to swing to the south east during the race at a fairly constant 8-10knots.  Overall the boats all had good speed with flat water, nice day to be on the water.

Race 2 -1/08/04 1330 Race Course 5 - 6.05nm The wind coming out of the South South East was beginning to built some fairly good wind waves and was gusting up to 18 knots and holding to a steady 15 knots up until the start when the wind dropped down to 10 knots with gusts to 14 knots.  The wind faded completely to nothing after the race making putting sails away quiet easy.
