Having grown up in a small town in Northern California, Yuba City, I spent my youth hunting, fishing and just being a country boy.  My first car of course was a pickup truck which I put over 30,000 miles a year on going everywhere with a boat in tow.  I spent as many as three days a week on Lake Oroville sailing or water skiing, or fishing.  Great days indeed.

After graduating from Chico State, I moved to Concord California and began my IT career with Bank of America.

It was there that I met my wonderful wife, Maha.

Also during that time I purchased my first keel boat and began racing on SF Bay, which is one of the best places on earth to sail due to its consistent strong winds, challenging currents, and beautiful scenery. The biggest danger of the bay is fog which makes GPS and Radar very useful indeed.  

After ten years at B of A, I was offered a position with Saudi Aramco, which required relocating to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where we now live.  But I still return to the great SF bay and spend as much time sailing my boats as possible.
