Entertainment Center

This project was built in my in-laws garage with only a table saw, router and a cordless drill.  The face is solid oak while the sides and shelves are of oak plywood.  The key feature of the unit is the storage area for video tapes and DVD's on either side.  The small shelves within the storage area are each held in place by only two screws.  the end of each shelf slides into a grove in the back of the face. These shelves are again composed of oak and oak plywood for the shelf.  The entire unit comes apart for transportation with the biggest piece being the sides which are about 6 foot by 28 inches. The units assembled weight which is close to 500 lbs and large size makes it almost impossible to transport without disassembling.
