| | | Fall 2005 Racing Season Third Race Day  | Race 4 -9/29/05 1000 Race Course 5 -Short - 3.3 nm A nice 8-10 knot wind made for a pleasant although slow first race. The heavy winds the last few race days had everyone ready with their heavy weather sails but the wind stayed fairly constant and even dropped for a time. | | Race 5 -9/29/05 1330 Race Course 6 - 6.7 nm A winds shifted to the North and became rather gusty with wind varying from 13-20 knots with an average around 15 knots. The inconsistent gusty wind required constant sail adjustment to keep the boats moving keeping the crews on their toes.
Handicap Correction: After having a couple of medium wind speed races this season, I noted that Thunder's medium wind handicap seems a bit off at 232. After going back through the adjustments records, I noted that it was reduced to 202 preceding the Winter Season which Marc handled. Although it does not change the results, it certainly brings the numbers closer together. My apologies for the mistake, I have updated all the race results for this season to reflect this handicap. |
