| | | Spring 2007 Racing Season Seventh and Final Race Day  | Race 10 -03/22/07 1000 Race Course 6 - 5.9 nm The wind was a perfect 12-17 knots out of the NE making the first leg a run, the second leg a fantastic hull speed broad reach and the third leg a upwind beat. It was a great mix and we saw many tacking duels on the beats back to D. | | Race 11 -03/22/07 1330 Race Course 0 - 5.9 nm The wind were up to the 16-20 knot range with a few gusts to 25 knots and only the heavy boats completed the race. The high winds caused one boat to break their booms goose neck. Fortunately, they were able to jury rig and sail back to their mooring. This race certainly was exciting and keep the skippers and crews working hard from start to finish changing down to small headsails and reefing (something we have not seen for some time.) |
